Kingston Police continue to investigate a single motor vehicle collision Friday evening that resulted in the death of the 21 year-old female driver.
At 11:40pm, Kingston Police, Kingston Fire and Rescue, and Frontenac Paramedics all responded to report of a collision involving one vehicle on Highway 2 East near Ravensview Water Treatment Plant. On arrival, first responders found a female patient without vital signs. All attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful. Investigators say that the deceased was the driver of, and the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Highway 2 East remained closed throughout the night while collision reconstructionists and forensic identification officers investigated and documented the scene. Initial investigation suggests the vehicle was eastbound, and departed the roadway, striking a tree.
The circumstances and causes of the collision are still under investigation. Anyone with information they believe could assist the investigation is asked to contact Sgt. Darren Keuhl of the Traffic Unit at 613-549-4660 ext. 6148 or by email at [email protected]
