(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into a collision that resulted in two men being arrested.
On the 6th of September 2016 at about 2:20 PM O.P.P officers investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 eastbound ramps at Stewart Blvd, City of Brockville. The driver and occupants had left the scene.
On the 7th of September 2016 at about 10:25 AM Leeds OPP officers responded to a call describing pedestrians on Highway 401, Brockville. Through contact with Brockville Police Service and further investigation, two males were identified as being the driver and occupant of the fail to remain collision the day before.
Further investigation revealed that the occupants had been in possession of a vehicle stolen from New Brunswick. Both men were arrested and held for bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice Provincial Division – Brockville. 19 year old Jessy GENEAU-OUELETTE, and 22 year old Boby JENSEN, both of New Brunswick face charges of being in possession of stolen property.
The investigation continues.
