Domestic Arrest

A 32 year old Brockville man was arrested yesterday evening and held for bail in relation to a domestic disturbance which occurred earlier in the day at a Church Street residence.

Brockville Police responded to a 9-1-1 call yesterday at approximately 4:40 p.m. to the residence. After speaking with the complainant officers learned the 28 year old female victim and accused male share two children together and were separated. While the man was visiting the residence and assisting with the children, the victim and accused male became involved in a verbal argument which escalated into a minor physical altercation in front of the children. The man then left the residence before police arrived.

He was located by officers shortly thereafter and arrested for domestic assault. He was taken to the Brockville Police Service where he was held overnight pending a bail hearing today.
