Significant freezing rain likely Monday night into Tuesday.
A Colorado low is forecast to cross the lower Great Lakes for the start of the work week. Snow is forecast to spread across portions of Central and Eastern Ontario later on Monday. Several centimetres of snow are likely before it changes to freezing rain Monday night persisting into Tuesday.
A significant freezing rain event is likely with several millimetres of accumulation. Roads will likely become slippery, initially due to some snow followed by a layer of freezing rain. Localized power outages are also possible Monday night into Tuesday.
Freezing rain warnings will likely be issued as the event approaches.
