The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is recruiting and wants to reflect the diversity of our community. We are hosting three events in the coming months for those who might be interested in a career in policing. These sessions are a great opportunity to connect with our recruiting team and go over your qualifications and the steps you need to take to join the OPS.
WHERE: Chambers, Ben Franklin Place
101 Centrepointe Drive
DATE: Wednesday, February 13, 2019
TIME: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, we will be hosting a LGBTQ-focused information session at Algonquin College, in Rooms 317-318 of the P building, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We encourage those who identify with the LGBTQ community to attend to learn how you can apply to become a police officer.
We are also hosting an information session for women only on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ben Franklin Place. These sessions will focus specifically on career opportunities for women in policing with supports to help you successfully complete your application process.
Registration is not required for either event, but we encourage you to come early to get a seat.
