They re-opened in their new, much more spacious, facility on October 5th, 2018 and have had the opportunity to showcase the many amazing facets of their organization in their spiffy, new digs.
With 5 very talented professionals under one roof. They call themselves the A team. Alyssia ( Nicole), Amy, Angie, Arlene and Owner, Ashley. It is not surprising that one could virtually complete all of their necessities all under one roof. After an exhilarating class of pole fitness, aerial hoop, or aerial hammock, why not enjoy a 1-hour relaxation reflexology session, get your hair and nails done; have a restorative massage or even finish up with an hour long session in Brockville’s Newest Salt Cave with its own Charka Balancing Wall?
Not too certain about these new fitness techniques? Worried about whether you can or cannot do it? Ashley Brunke, owner of Mint Wellness, assures us, “You can do a lot more than you think you can. It really is much easier than it looks.”
Mint Wellness currently runs 14 classes a week, from Monday through Saturday. However, it is also possible to have private or semi-private classes, and the opportunity is always open to design your own training program. Classes range from beginner to intermediate, all the way to advanced. Ashley invites everyone to come on out and try whatever class or time works best for you. Getting there that first time will be all you need to be sold on these new, energetic and amazing programs.
“Every student is welcome to come to which ever class and time frame works for them,” explained Brunke. “It’s a class setting, but we work with everyone on an individual basis to accommodate their level of skill.”
For now, the average class has 4 – 8 participants, depending on what is being taught in that particular class. The benefits from these types of classes are truly astounding. “Our goal at the end of the day is not to create super fit, healthy women, which is ideal plus, but our goal is to work on making you feel secure, confident about yourself, making you accomplish something that you didn’t think you could do” she explained.
“These are things most people think they can’t do. You walk in to a gym, you know you can walk on a treadmill or do an elliptical. But you walk into a class here, you don’t think that you can do a spin or lift yourself into a roll or fancy pose, and when we actually get that, it builds a different kind of self-esteem and a different kind of confidence.”
