Brockville Police Services update for March 12th, 2017
Shoplifting - Walmart
On the 11th of March 2017 at approximately 12:28 p.m. a 54 year old Brockille woman was arrested by Walmart loss prevention staff for theft of merchandise. Police attended the location for necessary investigation. The woman was eventually released with a future court date for the offence of Theft Under 5000 Dollars contrary to the Criminal Code.
Mental Health Apprehension
On the 11th of March, 2017 at approximately 3:22 p.m. members of the Brockville Police Service apprehended a 25 year old Ottawa man under the authority of the Mental Health Act. The man and his father were visiting family in the area when his behaviour raised the concern of his father. After locating and speaking to the man, police determined it necessary to transport him to the Brockville General Hospital for assessment and check of his general well being.
Shoplifting - Sears
On the 11th of March, 2017 at approximately 4:19 p.m. a 19 year Prescott man was arrested for shoplifting at the Brockville Sears location. The man was observed concealing clothing items on his person and was consequenlty apprehended by loss prevention on site. The man was arrested by police and later released with a future court date for the offence of Theft Under 5000 Dollars contrary to the Criminal Code.
