OPP STOP MORE STUNT DRIVERS

011017 stuntdrivingMembers of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating more stunt drivers on Leeds County Highways.

On the 25th of March 2017, at about 6:50 A.M, Ontario Provincial Police officers in Front of Yonge Township stopped a speeding Chevrolet car travelling westbound on Highway 401. Speeds were in excess of 81 kilometres over the speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 21 year old Toronto driver found his vehicle towed, and impounded for 7 days.

On the 25th of March 2017, at about 9:50 A.M, Ontario Provincial Police officers in Rideau Lakes Township stopped a speeding Ford truck travelling on Highway 15. Speeds were in excess of 60 kilometres over the speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 34 year old Carleton Place driver found his vehicle towed, and impounded for 7 days.

On the 26th of March 2017, at about 10:40 A.M, Ontario Provincial Police officers in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township stopped a speeding Chevrolet car travelling westbound on Highway 401. Speeds were in excess of 71 kilometres over the speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 19 year old Phoenix, Arizona driver found his vehicle towed, and impounded for 7 days.

On the 26th of March 2017, at about 2:00 P.M, Ontario Provincial Police officers in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township stopped a speeding Chevrolet car travelling westbound on Highway 401. Speeds were in excess of 52 kilometres over the speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 33 year old Ottawa driver found his vehicle towed, and impounded for 7 days. He was also found to be driving under suspension.

All are scheduled to appear at Brockville Provincial Offences Court at a later date to answer to their charges.
